Verification
Knowing that qualified doctors are volunteering for in-flight medical emergencies is central to Sepeo
In an in-flight medical emergency, cabin crew need to know that the person stepping forward really is a doctor. Sepeo ensures this by vetting every volunteer in advance.
By providing your professional details and completing our verification process, you give airlines and passengers the reassurance that they’re in safe, qualified hands.
Indemnity
Having indemnity is critical for doctors volunteering during in-flight medical emergencies
Doctors who assist during in-flight emergencies are generally covered by Good Samaritan protections, but accepting perks in return for help can complicate that.
Sepeo partners with airlines to ensure volunteering doctors are properly indemnified, even when airlines choose to recognise their contribution with benefits

Guidelines
Guidance for the most common types of in-flight medical emergencies
Managing a sick passenger in a crowded cabin with limited space, resources and time, can challenge even the most seasoned doctor.
Sepeo offers quick, practical aide-memoire guidance for the most common in-flight emergencies, supporting clinicians to make safe, confident decisions at 35,000 feet
Inventory
Providing doctors with a list of what is available on-board their flight from the medical inventory
When treating a patient in the air, doctors may need to examine, diagnose and intervene quickly. To make this as safe and effective as possible, volunteering doctors need to know exactly what equipment is available on board.
With Sepeo, the full medical inventory for each partnering airline is visible for the specific flights you volunteer on, so you can plan your management with confidence before you even take your seat

Passenger Information
In the event of an in-flight medical emergency, it is critical for doctors to know the passenger's medical history to provide the best care possible
Only in the event of an in-flight medical emergency will a doctor be given access to a passenger’s medical background. For governance and safety, this information is held on the flight-crew app and can only be shared with the doctor if an emergency occurs.
In that situation, the doctor will be able to see key details such as the passenger’s medical conditions, allergies, medications, any critical notes, and a brief description of their cabin bag to help identify them quickly
Benefits
Showing gratitude to doctors willing to volunteer on-board in the event of an in-flight medical emergency
When you volunteer as a doctor on flights operated by Sepeo partner airlines, you may be eligible for additional travel benefits as a thank-you for your support.
Each airline sets its own benefits (for example, frequent-flyer points, lounge access or fare discounts), and Sepeo will clearly show you which perks apply to your specific flight once you have volunteered.
